The Maine Wedding Film of Elizabeth & Doug

How did you two meet?
We met in the most modern way possible – Tinder. Since we lived around two hours from one another, it was very unlikely that we would ever connect. Thankfully, however, fate would make sure we finally connected. Elizabeth was riding in a car with her parents, and as they drove through Winston-Salem she pulled out her phone to kill some time. As she opened Tinder, she connected to Doug who was only a few miles away and also on Tinder at the same time. Conversation ensued and a first date was soon to follow.

Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
Kennebunkport is beautiful year round but particularly in the summer. We visited Maine a few years back and instantly fell in love with the rocky coast, vivid colors, and delicious lobsters. Doug mentioned to Elizabeth during that first visit that Maine would be a beautiful way to eventually get married. Once we were engaged, it was an easy choice to get married in Maine and share such a wonderful place with our friends and families.

Were there any happy surprises that happened at the wedding?
Our biggest surprise was how perfect the weather was for our wedding weekend. We could not have asked for better weather!

What moment sticks out to you above all of the others from the wedding?
It is hard to pick just one. Everything about it was just so perfect. We kicked off the weekend with a fireworks show, and the rest of the weekend continued with as much of a bang. From the first look to dancing the night away with friends and family, we made the most of every moment.

Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!
We hope to continue doing the things we love – traveling to new places, enjoying the many things Winston-Salem has to offer, making memories with our friends and family, and spending time at home with our Irish Setter Lily.
