The celebration of Jenna, Rick, & their son Richard.

How did you two meet?
We would occasionally pass each other at work and one night I decided to message him on Facebook. He responded to the message and we met up that night with friends. We continued to hang out from then on.

Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
Rick suggested getting married in Maine, which I was totally not opposed to. I’m from Portland, but wanted to try to stay away from Portland because I was worried about traffic and parking. Also, I wanted a unique venue and didn’t want to have it at a hotel. We started looking at venues and realized that a Maine wedding was proving to be quite expensive. I had come across On the Marsh on weddingwire.com and inquired about pricing. The pricing, responsiveness of the venue, and the location seemed perfect. We booked it without seeing it in person. We got to see it in the winter during a snow storm and it was beautiful then so we knew it would be beautiful in the summer!

Were there any happy surprises that happened?
I know my dad likes to dance, but I was happy that he danced as much as he did. I also like that my uncle Raymond, who usually is very reserved, danced with me before he left. I even got my mom out on the dance floor, and I’ve never seen her dance, so that was special!

What moment sticks out to you above all of the others?
I wasn’t sure what Rick’s vows were going to say or how he was going to deliver them. I know how caring and thoughtful he is, but I wasn’t expecting his vows to be as sweet and loving as they were. Hearing him say his vows was so meaningful to me.

Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!
I’ve been asking myself the same question! I’ll probably be more efficient at work 😉
