The celebration of Lara & Josh
The Winding Path to Love, by SP Films
How did you two meet?
We met on the good old interwebs as Josh likes to call it haha. We both decided to give online dating a try. I thought it was the dumbest thing I had ever signed up for and was shocked when I met Josh. Josh had messaged me “Hey how are you?” My best friend/Maid of Honor Kristen was scrolling through my messages and saw Josh’s message. She clicked on his profile and liked that he had a pick up truck and a dog. I took 2 months to respond to him. When I finally did respond I thought for sure that he was already seeing someone and again told my friends that this was stupid. When I met him for the first time I knew it was game over.
Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
We both wanted to get married outside. Josh loves being in the woods. I love the beach and being outside in general. The River Club incorporated the beach and woodsy rustic setting so we knew that this was the place for us to get married.
Were there any happy surprises that happened at the wedding?
Josh’s Dad asking to give a speech was a happy surprise because his Dad does not like public speaking.
What moment sticks out to you above all of the others from the wedding?
Reciting our promises to each other. The other moment that sticks out to us both is the fact that we stayed by each other’s sides the entire night. Many of our friends and family commented on how they tried to get us to separate to dance with them and how we wouldn’t leave each other. They commented on how we really do only have eyes for each other and are so in love.
Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!
Unpack all of our wedding bins!! Try to slow down and spend time with each other, drink new beers, visit Nora and Adam in Portland, and start a family.
