The Fall wedding celebration of Elizabeth & Devin

How did you two meet?
We met at a pizzeria in NJ. I (Liz) was visiting a friend while she was waitressing and Devin was the deliverer. The funnier story is featured here on our Granite Ridge blog:

Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
We wanted a mini-destination where our families could all be together and we could all bond! Granite Ridge was the absolutely ultimate location. We love the breath taking views and loved that it was a place we could all spend time together and relax.

Were there any happy surprises that happened?
THE CEREMONY!!!! When it started raining that day I was mildly nervous. I knew we had a back-up plan for our ceremony (in the barn) but I really wanted it outside with nature! We had blankets for our guests and my coordinator (Kelly from Bread and Butter) ran out to the store to get our guests hand warmers. Though our ceremony was short, I feel like we experienced several different types of weather!! I was focused on Devin, but from what I heard from my family and friends, the words spoken by our officiant, Connie, were matching perfectly with the weather we were experiencing. It felt magical and spiritual as if our loved ones in heaven were there with us.
It was perfect. I love that your teaser video showcases that. ☺

What moment sticks out to you above all of the others?
Our first dance! We both thought we’d be a crying mess during this but we were calm, happy, and feeling the love. We truly enjoyed being in each other’s arms, sang the words to the song, and alternated between looking into each other’s eyes and looking out at our guests, a mix of smiles and tears of joy. It was so special.
We also both loved our parent dances. I thought my dad was going to lose it but he was surprisingly calm. I made a last minute song choice (You’re Nobody til Somebody Loves You- Dean Martin) and the more upbeat choice helped my dad relax and enjoy the dance. Devin and his mom were the emotional ones!! Both of them were overwhelmed with emotions and it was really something special. I loved watching that.

Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!

-Stop counting carbs
-Watch our sneak peek video precisely 10x per day
-Obsessively look on Zillow for houses we can’t afford
