How did you two meet?
We met at the Barley House in Concord, NH. I was at my Bridesmaid Courtney’s parents’ Christamas party and we decided to go out afterwards. Matthew was with his college friends and they also decided to go out. The holidays brings everyone back home.
Why did you choose to get married at the location that you did?
We scoured the entire northeast coastline in search for the perfect seaside venue. We both have a strong connection to the ocean and knew we wanted to get married by it. We loved that the Wianno Club was tucked away – many brides have never heard of it. In fact, we had the entire club to ourselves the weekend we got married. It has a classic Cape Cod feel and the décor even complimented our color scheme – blue and white!
Were there any happy surprises that happened at the wedding?
Our golden retriever, Barley, came for a few photos after the ceremony. He was giving Matthew a kiss and then snuck in and ate his corsage! We still can’t stop laughing about this.
What moment sticks out to you above all of the others from the wedding?
It’s so hard to just pick one! I would say the first look and the first kiss. There is no comparison to the feeling of a “first” special moment. <3
Now that the wedding is over, what are you going to do with all of your free time?!
Matthew is going to take golf lessons and will get to use the new clubs that I bought him after the wedding. We also want to do something fun and new together – like take a few wine classes or sailing lessons!
